Around the world, countries are expanding their use of modeling, simulation and other tools to support the development of smarter, more reliable and resilient electricity systems. The Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) and the International Smart Grid Action Network (ISGAN) Annex 5: Smart Grid International Research Facility Network (SIRFN) invite you to join experts from New York, the rest of the United States and around the world for a two-day workshop in New York (U.S.) on 14-15 April, 2016, to share perspectives, experiences and emerging best practice on these tools for the smart grid.
Participants can expect a lively discussion among engineers, programmers, regulatory experts, utility managers, technology developers and other experts. Guided tours of an on-site 32 MW solar farm (one of the largest in the eastern U.S.) and new solar photovoltaic (PV) field testing facilities will be available, as well as opportunities for side meetings with smart grid leaders from the region.
